Glover Lecture 2014: The efficacy of psychodynamic therapy - the talking cure in the era of evidence-based practice

The Portman Clinic invites participants to attend two events led by the internationally acclaimed author Dr Jonathan Shedler. The lecture takes place on Thursday 23rd October 2014 at 7.30pm and the corresponding hands-on clinical workshop takes place on Friday 24th October 2014 from 2.00-4.30pm. Both events take place in the Lecture Theatre on the 5th floor of the Tavistock Centre, 120 Belsize Lane, London, NW3 5BA.

Forensic psychodynamic psychotherapy

Forensic psychodynamic psychotherapy (D59F) is a qualifying course in forensic psychodynamic psychotherapy delivered within the NHS. Accredited by the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC), it equips its graduates to work as independent practitioners. This course offers a recognised qualification as a forensic psychodynamic psychotherapist, as well as providing our students with a unique approach to working within forensic mental health and criminal justice institutions.

Introduction to forensic psychotherapy and risk, the Portman model

This is the UK’s only psychodynamically-based training experience for professionals working with patients and clients who show signs of delinquency and/or sexual perversion.

Medical Psychotherapy Trainee -Trainer Summer Conference: 'Same Yet Different'

This is a one-day conference open to trainees and trainers interested/involved in medical psychotherapy, as well as other medical faculties that may find the work of medical psychotherapy relevant to their practice.
