One Day Conference at the Tavistock Centre, London

Dr. Estela Welldon has been awarded with an Honorary Membership in the American Psychoanalytic Association. She was invited to attend a ceremony to receive the award on 15th January 2014 at the Association’s President’s Reception at the Waldorf Astoria in New York.

Registration is now open for the 23rd Annual Conference of the International Association for Forensic Psychotherapy, which will be held from the 20th to the 22nd March 2014 in Utrecht, The Netherlands.

Two Day Conference

One Day Conference in Association with the IAFP

IAFP One Day Conference to be held on Wednesday the 1st of May 2013 at the Mike Harris Centre, Rampton Hospital - Registration now open £60 (£50 IAFP Members)

This newly-validated course has been developed jointly by staff from Millfields Personality Disorders Unit, The Therapeutic Community and Outreach Service and an independent expert-by-experience, in association with our partners in the Psychosocial Studies Faculty in the School of Law and Social Science at the University of East London.  It builds on key, recent policy recommendations outlined in Personality Disorder: No Longer a Diagnosis of Exclusion the Personality Disorders’ Capabilities Framework the Knowledge and Understanding Framework, ‘Relational Security’ and the ‘Psychologically Informed Environment’.

Estela Welldon is Honorary Consultant Psychiatrist in Psychotherapy at the Portman Clinic and Honorary Elected Life President of the International Association for Forensic Psychotherapy. She trained in medicine in Mendoza, Argentina, and then in psychiatry at Menninger School of Psychiatry, Topeka, Kansas, USA. She has a specialist interest in the use of psychodynamic psychotherapy with perversions, violence and criminality, as well as in forensic psychotherapy.
