Dr Gabriel Kirtchuk is a Consultant Psychiatrist in Psychotherapy and a Psychoanalyst. He has worked in forensic settings for more than twenty years and has established a Department of Forensic Psychotherapy, at the Three Bridges, West London Mental Health NHS Trust.
Dr Kirtchuk is the Lead Clinician of the National Forensic Psychotherapy Training and Development Strategy, as well as the Chair of the Special Interest Group in Forensic Psychotherapy at the Royal College of Psychiatrists. He is an honorary clinical senior lecturer at Imperial College London and is a fellow of the British Psychoanalytical Society. He is course leader of the MSc in Psychotherapeutic Approaches in Mental Health and was recently elected Chair of the provisional executive of Forensic Psychotherapy Society (FPS) which is a member institute of the BPC.
His areas of interest have been the development of psychotherapeutic approaches within forensic mental health as well as training and educational programmes in this field.
